- Description
- This depiction of the Priests of Dagon dancing appears in the 3rd act of Saint-Saens' opera "Samson et Delila". Set in melodic minor it evokes images of debauchery from iron age Mesopotamia. Sounds like they had a pretty good time.
It lends itself well to a quintet setting even without the tympani. It's fun to play and entertaining to hear.
