- Description
- "The Cascades" is one of Scott Joplin's most descriptive works, depicting the Cascades Gardens at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
While setting this piece for Brass Quintet, I decided to use Euphonium instead of Trombone to allow for a more fluid sound. However, it works fine with Trombone as you can hear from the accompanying mp3 (the MIDI sound file for Euphonium is not really the best).
This Rag should add a little spice to any performance, recital, etc.
