- Amilcare Ponchielli's "Dance of the Hours" is set here for Flute Quintet. I have only included the opening section (Dance of the Hours of the Day) to keep the piece short and light. I think you will find that it is a delightful little piece and fits well with a flute timbre. At only 2 minutes and 50 seconds it would fit in any program to lighten the mood.
